Dealer quoted me 1800 for an Audi battery – is that crazy?

So I almost fell off my chair yesterday. Took my 2019 A4 to the dealership because I’ve been getting that “battery low” warning on cold mornings, and they said I need a new AGM battery plus coding – total quote came to 1800 AED. I know Audis aren’t cheap to maintain but that just seems insane for a battery. Started calling around a few local garages in Al Quoz and got prices ranging from 900 to 1400, but honestly I’m nervous about letting just anyone touch the electrical system on this car because I’ve heard horror stories about people frying their modules. A buddy sent me a link to batteryzoneuae.com/audi-battery-replacement and the prices looked way more reasonable, plus they mention coding is included which put my mind at ease a bit. Has anyone here used a non-dealer shop for an Audi battery swap and had a good experience? Or am I better off just biting the bullet and paying the dealer premium to avoid headaches later? Really don’t want to be that guy stuck on Hessa Street with a completely dead car.
