Hi everyone, yesterday turned into one of the most stressful evenings I’ve had in a while because my car completely gave up while I was driving back home after work. At first I noticed the steering getting a little heavy and then warning lights started flashing one after another. I honestly thought maybe the engine was overheating or something minor, but within a minute the car just stopped moving near a busy signal and people behind me started honking like crazy. I managed to push it a little to the side with help from another driver, but after that I had no clue what to do because this has never happened to me before. I called two friends for advice and both told me different things. One said always call recovery immediately and never try restarting too many times because it can damage the car more, while the other said most recovery services overcharge if you panic. I spent almost an hour searching online and reading random reviews because I didn’t want to get scammed late at night. During that search I came across visit here while looking into recovery options around Sharjah, but I still wasn’t sure how these services usually work or what a normal waiting time should be. The driver who eventually helped me was decent thankfully, but the whole experience left me wondering how people deal with this calmly. Do you guys normally save recovery numbers in advance or just search when something happens? Also curious if anyone here had a similar breakdown where the problem turned out smaller than expected because right now I’m hoping it’s not a major engine issue.
