So we have reached a stage in our business where the informal systems we started with are clearly not cutting it anymore and I need to make some proper decisions about equipment before things get further out of hand. We started as a very small operation producing flavoured water and natural juices from a facility in Dubai and for the first year everything was manageable because the order volumes were low enough that we could handle deliveries with basic packaging and a lot of careful manual handling. But over the last six months our wholesale orders have grown quite a bit and what used to be a manageable weekly delivery run has turned into something that requires proper systems and equipment to do consistently without errors or damage. The breaking point honestly came when we had a particularly rough week where three separate deliveries arrived with damaged bottles and one client mentioned that the presentation of incoming stock was starting to affect their confidence in ordering from us regularly which was a difficult thing to hear but also a wake up call that I needed. I started researching proper bottle transport solutions and came across crateco while looking at what was available locally which helped me understand that sourcing reliable plastic bottle crates designed specifically for beverage distribution rather than just using whatever generic containers are cheapest is actually a meaningful decision that affects everything from how safely bottles travel to how quickly your team can load and unload vehicles on a busy day. What I am trying to figure out before committing to a purchase is how to assess build quality properly because I have seen options at very different price points and I genuinely cannot tell from photos alone whether the cheaper ones will hold up under daily use for a couple of years or fall apart within months. Anyone here who has gone through this evaluation process and found a reliable approach for judging quality before buying would really help me avoid a costly mistake.
