Durango’s transmission is hunting for gears – who’s the go-to guy for Dodges?

I’m getting seriously frustrated with my Durango R/T at the moment because the transmission has started doing this thing where it seems to hunt for gears when I’m cruising at low speeds, especially in stop and go traffic, and it’s making the whole driving experience feel jerky and unpleasant. I’ve already had the fluid changed at the dealer not too long ago, so I’m thinking it might be something more complicated like a solenoid issue or maybe even a valve body problem, which I know can get pricey if it’s not diagnosed properly. The thing that’s really bothering me is that I don’t trust the general workshops around town to actually understand the ZF transmissions that these cars use, because I’ve heard way too many stories of places just throwing parts at the problem without actually doing a proper diagnostic first. I’ve been asking around in some of the local Facebook groups and a few people mentioned that finding a Top Dodge Specialist in Abu Dhabi is really the only way to go if you want someone who actually understands the nuances of these powertrains and doesn’t just treat it like any other automatic gearbox. I’m hoping someone here has had a similar issue with their Durango or Charger and can point me in the right direction before I end up spending a fortune at the dealership or worse, letting some inexperienced mechanic mess around with my transmission.
