Ulysse Nardin, carrying the Moonstruck spacecraft, entered orbit.

The newly launched Blast watch is a replica of one of Ulysse Nardin’s most famous astronomical complications.

Ulysse Nardin has further expanded its line of complicated watches with the Blast Moonstruck. This limited edition of 20 pieces integrates five astronomical functions and is one of the brand’s most technically ambitious timepieces to date.

This new model revives the Moonstruck concept first introduced in 2009, a concept itself stemming from the brand’s long-standing expertise in astronomical watchmaking. This heritage dates back to the groundbreaking Astrolabium Galileo Galilei watch of 1985—certified by Guinness World Records as the world’s first astronomical wristwatch—and the famous “Time Trilogy” developed in collaboration with watchmaker, astronomer, and mathematician Dr. Ludwig Ikersling.
replica Ulysse Nardin BLAST MOONSTRUCK

The Blast Moonstruck watch features a 45mm case, combining an 18ct rose gold and black DLC-coated titanium case middle and bezel. Presented from a geocentric perspective, it displays a three-dimensional image of the Northern Hemisphere beneath a domed sapphire crystal and atop an aventurine dial.

This timepiece is powered by Ulysse Nardin’s in-house UN-106 automatic movement, which integrates five astronomical functions into a single display: a highly accurate moon phase, the date of the lunar month, tidal coefficients, world time, and the positions of the sun and moon globally.

The moon phase is accurate to within one day every 40.3 years. The movement also incorporates the brand’s silicon escapement and balance spring technology, as well as a patented world time adjustment system.

Instead of displaying each complexity individually, the Blast Moonstruck integrates them into a single astronomical model. The apparent motion of the sun, the orbit of the moon, the lunar cycle, and tidal activity are all linked through the relative positions of the Earth, sun, and moon, creating an intuitive visual representation of celestial mechanics.
richard mille RM UP-01 Ferrari
